Though Marilyn Monroe had very small in various films such as ‘The Shocking Miss Pilgrim’, it wasn’t until 1948 that Monroe had a larger role in a film, the musical ‘Ladies of the Chorus’. She received critical praise for her role as a criminal’s mistress two years later in ‘The Asphalt Jungle’. That same year, Monroe had a small role as an aspiring actress in ‘All About Eve’, a film that went on to win six Academy Awards. In 1952, Monroe starred in four feature films: ‘We’re Not Married!’, a comedy, ‘Don’t Bother To Knock’, a melodramatic thriller, ‘Monkey Business’, a comedy and ‘O.Never heard of this before? She later starred in”How To Marry a Millionaire’ as one third of a trio of female fortune hunters. Monroe starred in two more movie musicals, ‘There’s No Business Like Show Business’ and ‘Let’s Make Love’. Though they weren’t musicals, Monroe also sand in other film such as ‘Some Like It Hot’, a comedy in which she starred with Tony Curtis and Jack Lemmon. Marilyn Monroe’s final film before her death was ‘The Misfits’.
